Fashion E-Commerce, 2010

This online-only fashion retail site has recieved press in everything from Blackbook to Daily Candy for its mix of commerce and content, interactive shopping features, designer studio tours and a blend of fashion and art. I worked closely with the discriminating owners to achieve a balance between the avant-garde and best practices. I oversaw the Magento development as well as designed and built all the interactive editorial and atelier features.

Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation winner Tara St. James needed a new site to show off her collections and announce her upcoming Fall 2011 Presentation - and she needed it fast! I designed and built an elegant home for her gorgeous campaign photography and lookbook materials in less than 48 hours.

Timothy O'Connell

Photography Portfolio, 2009

Tim O'Connell is a book editor, sushi chef and emerging photographer. His online portfolio required a clean template to showcase different styles and formats, as well as be easy to update for Tim.

I created a custom template design using the Indexhibit CMS, which was perfectly minimal for what Tim was looking for.

The Square Project

Designer Blog, 2009

Designer Tara St. James was embarking on a new fashion project leading up to New York Fashion Week—a conceptual line of clothing based entirely on fabric cut into squares. She wanted to document and share her process and raise funds online.

I designed and built a custom Wordpress template for her to do just that, with calendar navigation, slideshows, an automatic countdown and links to her Kickstarter fundraising page, Twitter page, and Etsy store.

Dirty Librarian Chains

Jewelry E-Commerce Site, 2006

Dirty Librarian Chains

Jewelry E-Commerce Site, 2006

An art major in college, jewelry designer Susan Domelsmith had a vision for the site which included use of the tea-stained paper she was using for packaging and display at the time.

I designed the site and worked with a programmer to set up a simple, custom CMS so she could add new designs on the fly and sell them through Paypal, as well as post press articles and swap out copy and images on the home page.

House of Kooser

Hospitality Services Promotional Site, 2008

Greg Kooser's multifaceted hospitality company needed to rebrand and position itself against larger hotel groups. Along with a new logo, I created a site that featured his listing of hotels, VIP services, mailing list and membership signups, along with integrated Flickr slideshows from his sales receptions and lively promotional events.

Nike

Multimedia News Release, 2009

Nike

Multimedia News Release, 2009

Nike needed to release footage of its NikeNYC event by 8am the next day, and also wanted to increase exposure not only through traditional media but also through high-profile blogs. Tracking distribution of media assets was a top priority.

Working with MagicBullet Media, we proposed a video widget be part of the release, which came with easy embed-and-share funcationality for non-technical bloggers, as well as built-in tracking and distribution stats for Nike's PR team. A custom, Nike branded player was designed to go along with the site, and appeared as an option alongside broadcast quality downloads and hi-res photography.

Dr. Pat Gill Webber

Promotional Site and Blog, 2009

Dr. Pat needed a modern new look to position herself as an expert on workplace issues, business coaching and leadership training.

Sharing her writings and insights through blogging was a logical step, so I designed and built a custom Wordpress template along with a 6-page promotional site.

Cuttone & Company

Promotional Site and Blog, 2008

Cuttone & Company

Promotional Site and Blog, 2008

This prime brokerage firm needed a way to talk about all of their services and keep up with all the press they were getting.

I created graphics and designed the site which was then built in Joomla, providing a CMS system as well as secure logins for clients. I also worked on their print collateral, and translated new product campaigns to web banners.

In addition, Cuttone's Bernie McSherry—a frequent CNBC commentater—turned his quirky 'Morning Commentary' emails previously circulated among a few insiders, into a public blog. I worked with illustrator Nick Manske to develop a unique look that captured Bernie's entertaining prose while not straying too far from the serious business of Wall Street.
